What benefits do ISVs who make their solutions through Standing Cloud receive?
The quick answer is that you’ll get a new distribution channel for your application, related services, extensions, support, and more. For most commercial ISVs who’ve joined our platform, you get two listings in the Standing Cloud Application Network: an application page (like this), and a “solution provider” page (like this), to promote the work you do to help customers customize your application, if appropriate.
Can I make an application I've developed available through Standing Cloud?
Definitely. We're always on the lookout for exciting applications to add to our Application Network. Check out the ISV section for details on why and how to get started.
How does your Application Network differ from other application directories?
The chief difference is that all our applications are ready to use, directly from the Application Network, either as a free test drive or as a full hosted solution. There are many application directories that list applications and invite you to visit the vendor or other sites to get started, with varying requirements; for example, you may be encouraged to schedule a demo, or call a sales rep. With ours, you’re a couple of minutes and few clicks away from full use, no further sites — or sales pitches — required.
What is the Standing Cloud Application Network?
The Application Network is our catalog of supported open source and commercial applications, offered as a resource for customers to learn about and immediately begin using the tools they need. You’ll find solutions for virtually any business or technical issue, along with a listing of “solution providers” who can help you customize and manage the application(s) you choose.
Soon we’ll feature application “bundles” — combinations of applications that are commonly used in tandem to address business needs.
Can I deploy and manage different applications through my Standing Cloud account?
Absolutely. We have over 80 open source apps to choose from, and you can host as many of them as you like, in any combination. Today, with some exceptions, application combinations can’t share the same server, but shortly, that limitation will be lifted.
