Nexaweb Partners with Standing Cloud to Provide Groundbreaking Application Modernization Platform
Platform-as-a-Service solution built on Standing Cloud’s platform-as-a-service layer makes application transition to the public cloud quicker and more reliable.
May 16, 2011: Standing Cloud, Inc. announced today that Nexaweb is using Standing Cloud technology to support its new Client/Server-to-Cloud Platform, which launched today.
Nexaweb’s Client/Server-to-Cloud Platform is the industry’s only platform-as-a-service (PaaS) that leverages the efficiencies of the cloud for development and testing to quickly transform legacy client/server applications into modern, Java-based web applications. The Nexaweb Client/Server-to-Cloud Platform is built on a Standing Cloud PaaS layer that can be deployed on virtually any public cloud.
Nexaweb’s Client/Server-to-Cloud Platform provides:
- Reliable and elastic on-demand development resources, unlimited testing scalability and pay-as-you-go pricing
- Easy, immediate project start-up and ramp-down

Standing Cloud is backed by Foundry Group and Avalon Ventures and was founded in 2009 by CEO David J. Jilk, former CEO of Xaffire, an online application monitoring company that was sold to Quest Software in 2005. Board members include Brad Feld of Foundry Group and Rich Levandov at Avalon.
