Standing Cloud posts
Ben Vallack, a UK-based developer and principal at the design firm Phototropic, developed SetSeed, a fast-growing multi-site CMS, to make it easy for web developers and agencies to quickly build and deploy complete web sites and online stores for their clients from a single installation, without any plug-ins.
(This post comes to us courtesy of our friends at National Center for Women & Technical Computing - NCWIT - a great organization working to increase the number of women in technology and computing. Standing Cloud board member Brad Feld also serves on the board of NCWIT, and we've been strong supporters of the group.)
(This post comes to us courtesy of industry analyst Phil Shih, principal of Structure Research, a leading independent research and consulting firm with a specific focus on the hosting and cloud segments within the Internet infrastructure market. Here, Phil takes a closer look our recent announcement with GreenQloud, noting that the deal "reduces a significant barrier to entry for many prospective cloud users.")
Since our launch in 2009, we've been strong supporters of open source software and the open source community. Our application catalog includes more than 100 open-source applications; plus we support multiple development languages – including Rails, PHP, Java and Python – and manage applications portably on several distributions of Linux.
At Standing Cloud, we're committed to expanding our support for the industry's widest range of cloud service providers and data centers, to ensure flexibility, reliability and choice for our customers, whether they're ISVs, developers, solutions providers or application users.

Back In April, Dave Jilk, our CEO, wrote a blog post about the intelligent, reliable, consistently-going-above-and-beyond-the-call-of-duty team that we have here at Standing Cloud. I started working here just over a year ago, and I’m also repeatedly impressed with our team and the quality of our service. Monday, when Amazon Web Services’ EC2 servers went down on the East Coast, I had one more reason to be proud.
