These are exciting times here at Standing Cloud. With the confirmation of recent funding, an obvious increased interest about our services (due to articles from our CEO), and a push to create a “Drutopia” for the masses, activity has picked up, and there is a buzz around the office that is tough to ignore. Along with this excitement comes a significant level of hard work, long hours, and of course...a lot of questions. That’s where I come in.

Hi, my name is Jason Hand--Director of Technical Support for Standing Cloud. I’m here to offer support and answers to any and all questions you have about our services.

If you’re an existing customer of Standing Cloud and need assistance with a deployment you currently host with us, I can work with you to solve the issue. I’m working on a number of projects, but without a doubt the most exciting are the Druplicator and our Video Tutorials.

Druplicator

Our top notch programmers have developed one of the slickest PHP scripts out there. We call it the Druplicator, as it’s sole purpose is to duplicate your Drupal deployment with the intent of migrating it to a new hosted provider on Standing Cloud. You simply download the script, FTP it to your existing Drupal site’s home (htdocs) directory, and then browse to the php page. Once you’re there, a simple press of the button will create a complete archive of your entire Drupal environment and download it to your local machine. Then you can easily spin up a new Drupal deployment on the provider of your choice through Standing Cloud and follow these steps to import your site. Done AND done! Now your Drupal site is on a new cloud, and it's completely portable if you want to move to a different one later!

Video Tutorials

Building a vast library of “how to” videos that will help you get started with Standing Cloud has been one of my favorite new tasks. It’s easy enough to spell out procedures for certain tasks in a step by step written guide, but sometimes showing the exact steps in a video (that you can pause and rewind) is so much more helpful. The video series is part of an on-going project to provide as much information and assistance regarding our services through our new Assistly driven Support Portal. With this new support tool, as well as on-going relationships with partners around the globe, we are working towards building true 24x7x365 (Worldwide) support!
