We're psyched to announce another sponsorship of Startup Weekend: In the fall, we tested out a partnership by giving away two months of our service to attendees of the Denver Startup Weekend and learned some things from the event.
Now, we're sponsoring another Startup Weekend in our own backyard, here in Boulder, where Startup Weekend was founded in 2007 by local tech evangelist Andrew Hyde (now on a personal world tour). The event takes place Feb. 25-27 in the TechStars Bunker.
We're bringing some of what we learned from the Denver event, which is that, gee, it really works! They like us! The attendees who used our service found it an easy way to launch applications necessary to meet the requirements of the weekend, which include launching a website to support one's new venture (you can install a WordPress site via Standing Cloud in under two minutes - try that, GoDaddy). But we also learned that most whipsmart entrepreneurs don't want to wait until Startup Weekend to line up their server and software.
