New System Releases - Inspiration: Delighting our Customers

So we’ve been talking a lot about company values lately. And one that we work really hard on here at Standing Cloud is to “consistently delight our customers.” We always strive to keep our users at the forefront of our minds and hope that they are surprised and pleased by our dedication to them. With that in mind, in the last three releases (we’re up to #55 now!) we’ve added a lot of functionality to our system that we think will make all of our customers really happy; and there’s something in there for everyone.

For Our Developers and Business Users
We want to ensure that our customers are getting the biggest bang for their buck, so we updated the way our pricing is calculated; now it’s a lot more granular. Server space in Chicago doesn’t cost the same as server space in Dallas, who knew?! Now our pricing module within the system better reflects exactly what our customers are using (and where they’re using it). As always, pricing is calculated down to the hour, so we never charge our customers for time they don’t use.

In addition to ensuring that our users get what they pay for and nothing less, we’ve totally amped up our data encryption. Nothing is more important to us than our users feeling safe when they put our system to work. Now you can rest easy, all your info, data, and apps are extra safe from any angry hackers out there.

And what’s function without a little fashion? That being said, we just rolled out the new and improved look and feel of the Standing Cloud console (and website)! You probably noticed how great our site looks (thanks to the hard work of our newest employee, Amy) and now you’ll find the same great new color scheme and cool buttons etc. inside our console when you log in.

For Our IaaS Providers
We’re also really focused on making our solution even better for our Cloud Service Provider and Reseller customers and partners. So, we’re unveiling the fully loaded branded user experience!

To demonstrate what that means we created our own “AcmeCloud”. AcmeCloud illustrates exactly what we’re offering our Cloud Service Provider and Reseller customers, the ability to brand our software and effectively integrate it into their system. Standing Cloud can be branded for any provider, and configured to run on top of any infrastructure.

Additionally, we’ve made our app storefront fully customizable, so our customers can offer the applications, versions, and platforms they want. And our partners can now access a view of all of the user accounts associated with their branded site. They have the ability to log in as those users or terminal into their servers as root to provide top notch tech support and customer service. That keeps our customers happy because it keeps their users happy, and that makes us happy.

All in all this branding options is awesome for Cloud Providers, Resellers, System Integrators and other people in the cloud computing work who want managed services and an app storefront for their offering but don’t have the time or energy to build it themselves. We also have a ton of stuff that’s still in the works that’s getting closer to production every day, like apps with windows integration, easier support access and lots of other great features. But we’ll leave it at that, don’t want to ruin the surprise!
