When it comes to industry awards and honors, Standing Cloud has been on a hot streak lately -- and it's not just because of the sweltering summer weather here in Boulder. We're understandably excited by the recognition, so you'll pardon us if we take a few moments to get our brag on.
Last week, Lead411, a leading provider of information, news, and research about U.S. companies and their executives, published its third annual "Hottest Companies in Colorado" list, and we're excited to announce that Standing Cloud made the cut. Lead411 created the"Hottest Companies" awards to recognize the fastest growing privately held software, wireless, internet, hardware and media companies in different geographic regions, and this particular list originally started with over 400 companies that were eventually narrowed down to the top 25.
If you check out the full list here, you'll see Standing Cloud is in good company, including some of our Boulder tech neighbors Occipital, SendGrid, Orbotix, Lijit, Tendril, Trada, SolidFire, Rally Software and more.
That award comes hot on the heels of another accolade: Standing Cloud was also recognized as "Best Web Tool" in the Cloud Management category by Web Hosting Search, a group of professional webmasters who regularly evaluate hosting options and related web services and applications. You can read all about it here.
But wait....there's more.
As part of a special report on Enterprise Cloud Services, Network World magazine recently singled out 10 SaaS Delivery Companies to Watch, and we're excited to have made that list too, alongside such industry leaders as Salesforce.com, Ingram Micro, Parallels, NetSuite and others. And if you thought just being on the list was cool, take a look at the awesome graphic that went with it! Gotta love it!
And saving the best for last, and just in case you missed it: Each year, Gartner Research, one of the industry's leading research and analyst firms, identifies "Cool Vendors" in key technology areas, and publishes a series of influential reports evaluating these innovative companies.
It's a big honor, and we're excited that Gartner has selected Standing Cloud as a Cool Vendor for 2012 in the category of Cloud Services Brokerage Enablers.
We believe it validates both our solution and the critical need it fills in the cloud ecosystem. As a turn-key solution for Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) providers looking to move up the stack to the application layer, or ISVs looking to distribute in the cloud without building out a full Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) infrastructure, Standing Cloud makes it possible to get in the game quickly and with almost no effort.
Noting companies, products and services it calls "innovative, impactful and intriguing," Gartner's 2012 Cloud Services Brokerage Enablers report highlights Standing Cloud as one of five vendors "enabling enterprises and cloud service providers to strengthen their usage of cloud services through aggregation, integration and customization." We couldn't agree more.
