We've made some changes to how we handle bandwidth overages for applications running on Standing Cloud, and wanted to bring you up to date. This change could affect your monthly bill.
Standing Cloud prices bandwidth in per server, per month packages, based on anticipated outbound usage. Usage up to 1 GB is included at no charge in our default package. Larger bandwidth packages are available for additional cost, which varies by data center.
Beginning August 1, if outbound bandwidth usage on a given server exceeds your selected bandwidth package at any point during the month, you will be automatically upgraded to the next larger bandwidth package. You will receive an email to alert you to this change. Pricing will be pro-rated accordingly.
To help you better monitor your bandwidth usage, we now display your usage to date within the management console under the "Show my billing and bandwidth information" link (in each server's information area). If you feel your usage during a given month was atypically high, you can manually adjust your package via the Server Actions Menu for the next month.
