
Java Developer – Cloud Services
Standing Cloud, Inc. is an early-stage provider of software and services that facilitate deployment and management of application software, using on-demand cloud servers from providers such as Amazon Web Services, Rackspace Cloud, GoGrid, and others. The company is located in downtown Boulder, Colorado. We offer competitive salary and benefits.
We are seeking a Java Developer to assist in our efforts to develop compelling software products. In this role, your emphasis will be on building, maintaining, and supporting client code that interacts with third party cloud services and virtualization APIs. This will involve learning to use new cloud service systems, architecting the interface strategy, implementing the code, diagnosing service idiosyncracies, tracking changes and news from each provider, and updating code to reflect required changes. You will also need to interact with the technical support teams of the cloud service providers when there are problems with their systems, and document the details of the providers and of your work.

Technical Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
At least two years of experience coding Java in production systems
Broad competence with Java JDK
Familiarity with Java container environments
Familiarity with REST APIs
Extremely fast learner
Comfortable developing high-coverage unit and integration tests
Competent with Linux command line

Strong desire to progress in technical skills and knowledge
Potential Pluses:
Experience with virtualization software and/or on-demand computing services
